Urgent & Emergency Care
We are passionate about health and social care in the NHS and pride ourselves in being able to meet even the most specific needs of our customers – from strategic delivery and analytics to clinical service re-design and cost improvement.
Our expertise
We understand the priorities across the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) system and have experience of helping to align these to enable service improvement. Attain has extensive experience in providing support to help develop and improve UEC services with individual providers, commissioners, and across health and care systems.
Attain has worked extensively with Providers, Integrated Care Systems, Places, and UEC Networks to support tangible, sustainable and cost-effective change with a focus on improving productivity and importantly the overall patient experience as well as providing the right care, in the right place, at the right time for patients in a standardised and consistent way.
The need to deliver key operational targets, operate within budget, and relieve the growing pressure within the system, all while maintaining or improving the quality of care, presents a substantial challenge for the NHS. Without coordinated place and system wide change, these demands will only increase as demographic, social and other pressures continue to increase.
Collaboration is key
Our approach to this challenge is to support and enable organisations to work collaboratively together, taking a place or system wide perspective and working with all stakeholders to embrace that no single organisation can maintain, improve or deliver an urgent care system in isolation. We believe that only collaboration and partnership working is central to ensure that the UEC system is able to deliver service improvement and transformational change for the benefits of local people.
We understand the UEC agenda is broad
Across acute, primary care, social care, community and mental health services, through our support we ensure connectivity across services, embedded partnership working from the outset, and importantly we consider the impact of service change across the wider system, working with partners to successfully deliver improvements.
